These 60″x 60″ photographic prints of vacuum sealed microwave dinners are constructed through a digital photo merge process that exceeds the size of a large format (Phase One) digital photographic image. When inspected at this level of heightened detail, the imperfections of “the perfect meal” are unsettling. The warped plastic in combination with aqueous sauces and flaccid vegetables expose the self-evident “underbelly” of processed foods.
This is an ongoing photographic project started in 2017.
